C-CAN Volunteer Hub

What are the steps for becoming a volunteer?

  1. Determine why you want to volunteer with C-CAN. What are your motivations and goals? Try to figure out what type of experience you want to have, what sort of technical and non-technical skills you have, and how much time you are willing to commit.
  2. Complete our online volunteer profile form.
  3. View the list of current volunteer opportunities from our website.
  4. If a particular project looks interesting, contact the person listed on the opportunity description.
  5. Notify C-CAN if you begin volunteering.
  6. Communicate with C-CAN and CTC staff whenever you encounter problems, have questions, need assistance, and to report on your project's progress.

Ready to sign up?

Our online registration form was created for us to better understand your skills, interests, and availability so that we can effectively match you to a CTC opportunity. Please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • General contact information: Please let us know your name, phone number, and email address, so we can contact you if we find a project that might fit your profile. This information is only accessible to C-CAN staff and will never be given out without your permission.
  • Availability: Let us know the days and times you might be able to work.
  • Preferences: Choose your location and working group preferences, if you desire.
  • Skills: We have a listing of several technical and non-technical skills. Please check your level of expertise in all that apply to you. This is not a screening process - we just want to get a feel for what you could contribute to our volunteer program.
  • Additional Information: Feel free to tell us about anything else you think we should know regarding your skills, experience, or preferences.
