Details:
TITLE:
Assist ESL (English as a Second Language) students with using educational software.

DESCRIPTION:
Volunteer will assist ESL students in the new IBM computer lab. They will assist students with using educational software and websites during their scheduled hour of computer instruction each week.

TIME COMMITMENT:
2-3 hours

WHEN:
Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday

AREA of INVOLVEMENT:
Social Services; Education

AUDIENCE:
Not-for-profit organization offering services to adults seeking to learn English or gain a GED, or job improvement skills

LOCATION:
Minneapolis, MN

TASKS:
Assist students using the computer as an educational tool.
Monitor the use of computers in the new IBM computer lab.
Assess students progress as they work through educational programs.

SKILLS:
Basic Computer skills
Knowledge of internet
Patience
